General Terms and Conditions of Rental of Business Center Rooms
These General Terms and Conditions govern the service of letting of conference rooms at the Business Center of Basel-Mulhouse Airport (hereinafter “Airport”) to beneficiaries (hereinafter “Beneficiary”).
All room reservations imply unqualified acceptance of the present General Terms and Conditions as well as of the General Terms and Conditions of Use of the internet site of the Airport, which the Airport reserves the right to modify in full or in part at any time. For this reason we recommend that you consult them regularly.
The Airport reserves the right to modify or cancel a reservation at any time subject to having notified the Beneficiary at least eight (8) days before the date selected. In the event of modification the Airport shall offer a room which is equivalent to the room initially selected; refusal by the Beneficiary of the room offered by the Airport shall lead to cancellation of the reservation without charge.
The Airport is not obliged to justify the reasons for its decision.
If the Beneficiary decides to transfer his right to any other natural or legal person, the name or the company name of the replacement must be communicated by the Beneficiary to the Airport.
In the event of replacement the Beneficiary’s initial reservation is cancelled and replaced by a contract signed in situ by the replacement.
2.2 The Beneficiary shall be responsible for all authorisations and declarations linked to the conference or event organised, in particular: insurance, SACEM declaration, labour regulations.
Consequently, the Airport reserves the right to cancel the reservation or terminate, at any time, the rental contract if it arises that the beneficiary’s activity he is about to exercise in the rented premises, is contrary to the regulations applicable to this activity. In this case, the beneficiary cannot claim any compensation.
2.3 For the letting of a conference room with the objective of receiving candidates for recruitment purposes, if a job advertisement is published in the press the latter must be communicated to the Airport prior to the meeting.
It is imperative that the advertiser, being the Beneficiary of the rental, indicate his name in the advertisement in order to absolve the Airport of any liability.
2.4 The Beneficiary shall comply with the safety and hygiene rules displayed in the Business Center and neither he nor the persons accompanying him shall act in any way likely to disturb the peace of the premises.
2.5 The Beneficiary shall sign for the keys upon issue. At the end of the rental period the keys shall be returned to the Business Center reception.
2.6 In the event of absence during the rental period the Beneficiary shall lock the rented room. The Airport accepts no liability in the event of theft of or damage to objects or equipment belonging to the Beneficiary or participants.
2.7 The rooms, including furniture and equipment, are considered to have been let to the Beneficiary in a good state of repair and in good working order. Any complaints must be made upon taking possession of the room. The rooms, including furniture and equipment, are to be returned in the same state at the end of the period of occupation.
The list of applicable rates is contained in a guide to the rates charged by the Business Center which is joint to the present document.
4.2 Reductions
No reductions can be applied other that those stipulated in the price list.
4.3 Pricing
Billing is by periods of an hour, two hours, half a day, or a full day.
The half-day price is applicable for rentals:
- until 1.00 p.m.
- from 2.00 p.m. onwards
If these limits are exceeded, the full-day price shall apply.
If the reserved hours are exceeded or if supplementary services are provided, these shall be billed separately (subject to availability).
Payment for the reservation shall be made by credit or debit card on arrival of the Beneficiary. Any services over and above those stated in the reservation are billed at the time of leaving and paid for according to the same terms and conditions.
5.2 Where the Beneficiary is a client company
The charge for the reservation is payable by bank debit or transfer thirty days from date of invoice.
In the event of late payment the amounts due shall automatically bear interest at the legal floor rate in force on the date of issue of the invoice, without there being any requirement for the Airport to make a formal demand of any type.
A fixed recovery charge of forty (40) euros shall be levied in addition to the interest due.
Cancellations received eight (8) days before the reservation date shall be accepted without charge.
If this period of notice is not observed, cancellation of a reservation shall result in the payment of cancellation charges calculated as follows:
Cancellation charges shall be billed and paid under the same terms and conditions as stated in Article 5.2.
Rental rates
In the event of special requirements these rates can be negotiated. The reservation is subject to the client’s acceptance and signature of the quote provided.
All our rooms are equipped with heating and air-conditioning.
The following services are included in the rental price:
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 applicable from 25 May 2018 and the Data Protection Act No. 78-17, any Customer has the following rights to his data: right of access, right of rectification, right to erase (right to oblivion), right to limitation of treatment, right to portability. The Client may also define guidelines relating to the retention, deletion and communication of personal data after his death.
The Client may, for legitimate reasons relating to his particular situation, oppose the processing of the data concerning him.

All requests must be accompanied by a photocopy of the identity card.

Article 3. Liability
The Beneficiary shall bear full responsibility for the room from the time of acceptance of the keys until their return. In particular the Beneficiary shall be responsible for any damage to the premises and for theft of or damage to furniture and equipment therein. Any necessary repairs and the replacement of any missing furniture or equipment shall be billed to the Beneficiary.Article 4. Financial arrangements

Article 7. Disputes
In the absence of amicable agreement any dispute relative to, but not limited to, the execution or interpretation of the contract shall be submitted for arbitration by the Strasbourg Administrative Tribunal.Rental rates

Article 8. Personal Data
Basel-Mulhouse Airport informs the Customer that certain data concerning him are to be processed to manage reservations of conference rooms. These informations (identity, address, phone number, email) are mandatory for the creation of a client account which is necessary for the online reservation.
